Instructor Notes & Tips
Note that you now MUST POST before being allowed to see the posts of other students.
When posting to discussion threads, be sure to take a stance on the subject. Do NOT merely summarize what you have read. Rather evaluate the strengths and/or weaknesses of the reading as you see them. Posts should be kept concise and focused: 50-100 words for initial post and 25-50 words for responses to peers.
Responses to peers should NOT simply agree or say something like, "Nice job. I agree with what you said. Good insight." Instead they should deepen the conversation and by making the writer rethink or reevaluate their initial position.
This means you have to really focus in on what you are attempting to communicate. Choose your words carefully and have a solid STANCE on the subject.
Your posts will be evaluated according to the following rubric: originality, clarity, stance, tone, and mechanical/grammatical correctness.
Activities
Participate in ALL discussion threads. You must post ONE original post and respond to a MINIMUM of TWO peer posts.
